  • The Applied Portfolio Management Program extensively researches financial data to determine sound investment choices for its portfolio valued at over $1.2 million. This year the Michigan Tech team placed first, beating out teams from 267 universities from 69 countries.
  • Accounting students offer tax assistance to members of the local community through the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
  • Free help is at your fingertips; the Sam B. Tidwell Student Center provides tutoring support in economics, accounting, and statistics.
  • Students who study hard, work hard, and do well in classes are often rewarded with academic excellence scholarships.
  • The Center for Technological Innovation, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship (CenTILE)’s consulting services business offers opportunities for students to gain direct, hands-on experience solving real-world problems and interacting with businesses.

Business majors are actively involved in the Enterprise Program—our School of Business & Economics even sponsors three teams of their own: Entrepreneurial Ventures, IT Oxygen, and the International Ventures Enterprise.
