Campus Safety

Campus Safety
Michigan Tech has been ranked the safest college campus in the state and third-safest in the nation. University personnel work diligently to keep this reputation intact.

The staff consistently addresses the issue of student safety and regularly reviews its safety policies and communications.  A Safety First Alert communication service allows the University to send emergency and time-sensitive notifications via voice, email, and text message. This service will enhance emergency preparedness and keep the campus community better informed.

Emergency telephones are situated in strategic locations around campus and are available twenty-four hours a day, with calls going directly to Department of Public Safety and Police Services.
